Welcome
After first using private hosts, we thought it would be nice to share our home to those similar to us. Guests looking for an inexpensive private home area, not a nondiscript hotel room, a place to read study or relax. An escape from the normal working environment. No fancy frills just what you would expect when staying with family. This is our home and we want you to enjoy this unique area. We are not in the hustle and bustle of down town city life, We are a comfortable 20 minutes from the airport and 30 to the city and we can help and give advice on car or bike rentals, personal driver and all the wonder trips and tours that are available here in the "Rose of the North" Chiang Mai.
The rice barn is the main area and accommodates 2 guests. Apple TV and complimenery Netflix movie channels, Complimentary WIFI, Vanity Unit, Refrigerator, Balcony. Private kitchen and dining area, with Fridge freezer, Microwave, cooker, toaster etc. Large garden and seating areas, BBQ area, with additional guests staying in the modern fitted double rooms.
The Family Size Rice Barn is now available and can accomodate a family of 4 and has all the ammenities of the original. Lessons learned, the second floor is higher so no more banging heads in the kitchen.
Only 7% of airbnb hosts qualify as a Super Host and we are proud that we continue to meet the high standards required from airbnb and have now held this for over 4 years.

Always happy to give help and advice. Its a home with home comforts. We can recommend, but its up to you what you do and when you do it.
The Neighborhood
We are in a small village outside Chiang Mai, near Hang dong . A quiet and relaxing area.Ideal for those who like to be away from the busy nightlife. Close to Chiang Mai Night Safari, Royal Project Ratchapruk, Hangdong Golf Club and five minutes walk from The Grand Canyon.You will need transport, a car or motorbike though "Grab" taxi is convenient and a cheap way to get around.. You can rent a small motorbike, just let us know. Chiang Mai City with large department stores, local markets and the handy craft village of Baan Tawai, are all close by. We can arrange Tours such as elephant camps, white tiger, hill tribe villages and of course Doi Suthep the temple you cant miss seeing. There is much more and we are happy to give details or find out.
The Rice Barns are self catering so in true airbnb hosting, we supply cereals, bread, coffee, eggs etc for you to prepare your own breakfast*. The other rooms can cookin the main kitchen areas oat any time. Breakfast can be cooked for you at a resonable price. We can arrange taxi or driver service, just let us know. Airport pickup can be arranged. Watch out for special offers that include free pickup.

"The Rice Barn and Rooms is probably one of the most beautiful places in Chiang Mai. But that's not all. Ali and Nok were the perfect hosts; they gave us mosquito spray, picked us up after a restaurant visit, arranged elephant camp reservations and made us real cappuccino's in the morning.
